Back in the day...you know..when we walked to school uphill both ways in 6 feet of snow, the barter system was a great way to exchange what we had for what we wanted...so I am going to have a barter system in place. Please keep in mind that I cannot barter with all of my customers..unless someone has a deal with GMAC mortgage and can make my monthly payments...oh yeah and then the private school that 2 of my daughters go to...but in moderation I am able to offer barter..I am listing a few things that I could use at the moment some on a regular basis and others are going to be a 1 shot deal.
Funny story, my uncle Rocky in upstate NY is a dentist and when he was starting out he was the reservation dentist for the Navajo Indians in Arizona..the dental care was terrible for them and he did a lot of work..almost all for trade...the amount and size of turquoise jewelry and sterling silver was amazing as well as the horse blankets and artwork that adorns his house. He used to tell me stories of getting paid in live chickens and pigs.
Landscape design and maintenance
We live on a 16,000 sq foot piece of property in Providence...on a regular basis we would need weekly lawn care and maintenance and we also would like to have some creative landscaping done to the yard. We have lots of shrubs and trees that need trimming and maintaining and beds that need to be constructed and worked on. We also need flowers and shrubs planted.
Stone driveway/walkway work-
We are in need of some cobblestone walkways to be put in and some extended and enlarged as well as the idea of having our driveway replaced with a cobblestone driveway. We do have some cobblestones left over from a previous job, about 2 pallets full.
New roof put on house
I am not sure of the amount of sq feet of roofing.
Kennels built
professional grade kennels for 4 dogs built out of cement with proper drainage and plumbing. These will need to be heated and A/C'd.
Fence work
we currently have about 600 running feet of fence and some will need to be updated and some doors need to be replaced.
Vacation destinations
If you have a time share or own a property in a vacation area we would be open to looking into trade for a week or even weekend at a piece of property you have. This would include Manhattan but it would have to be dog friendly.
I am looking for farmland or property to run dogs on.
If you have extra land that you are not using I would like to be able to take my dogs to your property so they can run on it....wooded or rolling hills preferred....if you have a lake that is even better.
Motor Boat-something under 20 feet preferred.

my everyday vehicle..nothing is wrong with it today but it does go into the shop occasionally....I find it funny that people make negative comments about my vehicle..like I am some hippy in a hippy mobile..well Westy owners like myself own these by choice not because we cannot afford another vehicle...we have a love of the vehicle and the way of life...the downside is that it does need to go into the shop occasionally..so if anyone specializes in VW's and is looking for barter on dog training we can come to an arrangement.
