Does my dog need training?
If you answer NO to any of the following, than your dog needs obedience training:
Does your dog do the following after you say the command one time? 100% of the time
(without the use of food)
Sit-Stay-Down-Heel-Place-Wait
Come to you when called
All dogs should do all of the above obedience commands and none of the behavior issues from below:
Does your dog do any of the following?
Pee or Poo in the house?
Chew everything in site?
Lunge and Bark at people?
Then your dog needs behavior modification.

I appreciate all the people that stop me when I am out and about in Providence to ask me about issues they have with their dogs or just to talk about dogs. If you decide to not go with me as your trainer, please find someone to help you train your dog. Go online to look up information or go to a bookstore to buy a dog training book. The better our dogs are obedience trained the less problems we will have with our dogs, and the 9 million dogs a year that are euthanized will stop.

Don't be fooled by Trainers that say they only use "Positive Methods" for training. They are not telling you the real truth and it might be more harmful for your dog than you think.
