At home trainers tend to be pricier than dog training schools..the benefit is that you get 1 on 1 training with the issues that are important to you and your dog. In New England I tend to be on the higher end as far as private trainers are concerned. I realize this and I am quite open about it as far as my rates. Obviously I gauge my rates on my incredible results and training methods and everything I do to make sure my clients and there dogs are happy.I have put packages together that enable to get the most training for you and to save you some money. I will come out to your house for 1 or 2 sessions but I do not recommend it since you will not get the long term results that most dogs are in need of.

Another benefit that my clients get is that all of my clients have access to my private kennel. I do not take in dogs that I have not personally worked with. This way I know your dog and your dog knows me. Kennels can be a very stressful place for your dog. I also will board your dog if you have an aggressive dog. I have all of the equipment to handle aggressive dogs. Your dog will get plenty of outside play time.

Hourly Rate;
My hourly rate for training is between $100-$150 an hour for Rhode Island and Southern MA. I travel anywhere in the US so travel fees are added onto my training rates depending on distance from Providence.
 Keep in mind that this is just a suggested schedule of commands..i also can just work on the issues that are important to you at the moment and that way we can use the hours for isolated issues that affect you and your family the most.

Basic Package#1-
1 training session a week.

12 hours of training
Includes introduction and evaluation meeting up to 2 hours and then 10 sessions at 1 hour each.

During the initial meeting and evaluation we discuss all of the issues that are affecting you , your dog, and your family. We formulate a training plan that I feel will work for your dog and your family, the latter is the most important part of the success of the training.

Advanced Training Package-
I can offer the same package with the amount of sessions for my advanced package. You will get 7 sessions with each one lasting 1 hour. I will hold the price for you if you are moving up from a basic package into an advanced package.

What do we work on in an Advanced Training?
We continue on with the basic commands and add intense distractions, hand signals, off leash work. It al depends on what your dog is ready for and how much individual training you have been doing with your dog.

Bringing Home Puppy Package
The main issues with bringing home a new puppy can be difficult for a new dog owner and the family. I make this much easier for you and your family. I work with you on the following
1)Crate Training
2)House Training
3)Bite Inhibition Training
4)Establishing Proper Pack Leader and Rank in the household
5)Food, Water and Play Routine
6)Exercise and Training Schedule
7)Creating Tie Out Stations in your house.
8)Preventing future behavior problems, ie: biting, jumping, soiling in the house, stealing socks and other things in the house.
9)Creating a workable dynamic in your household in order to have a successful puppyhood with your new puppy to keep you and your family safe and sane.
10)Worksheets and helpful hint sheets for you and your family to utilize.

The above package is $175.00 this is for 2 hours of time at your home and 2 follow up phone sessions each up to 15 minutes in length.
I am offering this package at a discount since I feel strongly that one of the reason that most people give up dogs is they do not know how to train their new puppy or realize the amount of work that it will take. Therefore by doing this I am hoping that we do not have more dogs going into the shelter systems.

Board and Train Rates
A great alternative to boarding your dog while you are on vacation or for the client does not have the time to attend training classes.
My clients that take advantage of this program are interested in the highest quality training for their dog. Your dog stays in my boarding cottage in his/her own kennel and has access to all of the amenities at my  home and my private inside training facility.

All of the above commands will be done with my Distraction Training included in my rates. What good is your dog if they can sit/stay but not with a squirrel going by.

Distraction Training
If your dog already knows the basic commands they can take one of my 2 week boot camps that focuses on distraction training only.

Your dog stays with me for a minimum of 6 weeks. If your dog has aggression the time may be longer in order to parallel train the aggression issues along with the obedience training.

6 week Board and Train $3500.00
Each additional week is $650.00 per

2 week Distraction Training Boot camp
$1500.00 your dog already knows all of the above commands and I do my Distraction Training program with your dog.

2 week Heeling Boot Camp-(the #1 reason people call trainers)-extremely popular.
$1350.00 Your dog will be the best walked dog in the city. No more pulling, no more barking or lunging. Your dog will not sniff the ground, stop to mark territory, bark or growl at other dogs and stay in a perfect heel by your left leg at all times and always sit/stay when you come to a stop.

2 week aggression rehabilitation program..I don't know of any other trainer in NE that will welcome a highly aggressive dog into their kennel and get bit day after day in order to rehabilitate that dog. I am highly successful with  true aggression issues...I am talking about the dog that has bitten the owner or another family member..a dog that runs across the lawn to attack someone. The rates on this are variable...depending on the level of aggression and what I feel will need to be done.
$750.00-$1000.00 a week with a 2 week minimum required.

Coffee and Cafe Training
Do you wish you could just go to an outside cafe grab a sandwich and/or coffee, chit chat with your friends and just have your dog lay down next to you or under your table. I can do this 1 on 1 or we can do it with a group of your friends and their dogs. Training can be at any dog friendly outdoor cafe ie: Starbucks in Wayland Square is a popular place for my clients.
This can be 1 time or multiple time training depending on the results we get.

The fee is $100.00 per session...with 2 dogs it is a total of $150.00 and with each additional dog it is only $50.00 per dog per session..ie: $200 for 3 dogs and $250.00 for 4 dogs.


I am more than qualified to handle any issue that you are having with your dog. I am one of the very few who in New England who actually deal with true AGGRESSION. Other trainers say they do but they actually do not get down and dirty with your dog...take a bite and keep working with your dog...
