Services and Rates
Together, we pick real world situations for training so that your dog learns to stay at your side, walk at your pace, and be patient when you stop, despite distractions of the real world.
We will train any dog, regardless of breed, shape, size or history. We are also one of a handful of trainers that, not only WILL work with, but successfully train and rehabilitate highly aggressive dogs that have a history of biting other dogs, and/or people. Every dog deserves a chance to learn and to live, and we believe every dog has the potential to be simply awesome.
SATURDAY PACK WALKS!
Join Shayla and Peter for a 1-hour Group Pack Walk through the streets of Providence! Walks are held every other Saturday during the spring and summer months.
Pack Walks are open to anyone who would like to join (if using a prong collar and/or ecollar) and are a great means of support for owners to keep up with their training, increase dog handling skills and get help troubleshooting any issues on the walk. This event is not a “how-to” but rather an opportunity to practice existing training with the additional distraction of other dogs and owners. We will offer you guidance and instruction in a safe, non-judgmental environment to help you and your dog work through any challenges during the walk.
The Group Walk is a structured walk and exercise. We will help you enforce your dog’s proper walking etiquette, specifically no sniffing, marking, lunging, lagging, pulling or biting. In order to participate, your dog must be wearing his or her e-collar and/or prong training collar. Please review the below safety protocols and requirements in preparation for the Group Walk:
1. All dogs must be wearing and have been previously trained on a prong collar and/or e-collar.
2. All owners must bring their own poop bags and water for their dogs.
3. No flexi-style leashes allowed — no exceptions. All dogs should be on leashes 6-feet in length or shorter.
4. All humans should be wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes; no flip-flops allowed.
Adherence to these rules allows us and others the chance to have an educational and safe Group Walk experience.

As of 4/15/2016, we have decided to do all of our programs in a Board and Train format as this will get the owners and the dogs the best results. We have stopped offering our 5-session Obedience Lifestyle one-on-one training program due to clients’ frequent requests that they wish we had a 1-week program to give them a head start on getting the dogs to understand the basic commands and the tools. Therefore, we have decided to provide such a service and have started our 1-week Board and Train program for select dogs. All of our programs will continue to include one-on-one private coaching, the amount of which varies depending on the length of the Board & Train program you choose.
Our Board & Train Programs are an intense lifestyle training program, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week at our training center. The programs are designed to give your dog a strong head start by removing bad habits, assuaging anxiety and fear issues, and putting a strong routine into place for both dog and owner.
In the Board & Train programs, your dog will be trained by our head trainer Jon, accompanied by the training staff.
The Solid K9 Training facility is highly secure, staffed 24 hours a day, and monitored by video surveillance and fire detection.
