Services and Rates
Together, we pick real world situations for training so that your dog learns to stay at your side, walk at your pace, and be patient when you stop, despite distractions of the real world.
We will train any dog, regardless of breed, shape, size or history. We are also one of a handful of trainers that, not only WILL work with, but successfully train and rehabilitate highly aggressive dogs that have a history of biting other dogs, and/or people. Every dog deserves a chance to learn and to live, and we believe every dog has the potential to be simply awesome.
We are excited to be introducing Head Start Puppy Classes to our training lineup!
These classes are for puppies 12weeks to 16 weeks of age.
Classes will take place on Wednesdays from 7pm-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-11am
Head Start Puppy Classes will cover:
Everyone wants to walk down the street with their dog by their side. It is important that puppies learn how to ignore other dogs while on leash. Puppies know how to play with other puppy, we teach them how to focus on you even with other puppies, dogs and people are around. Being able to bring a calm, well mannered dog with you no matter the environment is our main objective.
Foundation of Obedience
In this class we will teach you how to set your puppy up for success. You will learn how to communicate in a way your puppy understands. Teaching sit, sit-stay, come and let’s go.
Different stations are set up to help you guide your puppy through things they may see as “scary”. By showing your puppy how amazing it feels to work through “scary” things, we are building their trust in you and confidence in themselves.
You will be shown different exercises that you can do at home to teach your puppy how to be calm. Its hard work to do nothing, we will show you how to make “doing nothing” rewarding.
Cost: $350 for 3 months of unlimited classes (includes long line and pet convincer)
Please fill out our Training Contract below, vaccination records (at least second round of shots) are required for puppies to participate in training and can be attached via the contract.

We are excited to be offering One-On-One Obedience Training here at Solid K9 Training!
We are now offering 1/1 dog training for select dogs at our training center. Your dog will not only learn the basic necessary commands, such as Sit, Down, Place, Heel, and Recall, but will also be able to understand the calm state of mind that is needed so you are able to have your dog around lots of distraction. You will be working on the 3 D’s: Distance, Distraction and Duration all of which allow you, and your dog, to be able to really enjoy the world around them.
Keep in mind that a lot of the 1/1 training work is going to be about 90% you the dog owner, and 10% us the dog trainer. We show you the basics and the fundamentals and you work with your dog daily to get the results you want.
You and your dog will learn the basics of remote collar training, as that is the best way we feel to get an off leash trained dog, an obedient dog, and a dog that you can enjoy.
You will also be able to ask our trainer on how to eliminate basic behavior modification situations, however, the 1/1 sessions are not geared for heavy behavior modification, intense fear/nervousness and aggression, both dog and/or human. We have a wonderful Board and Train program for these issues.
Cost: $699 for 5 sessions
The first training session will run for 90 minutes, the remaining 4 training sessions will run for 60 minutes.
Includes cost of prong collar. E-Collars can be purchased at the training center if needed.
Please fill out our Training Contract below, vaccination records and a fecal float are required to participate in training and can be attached via the contract.
Once submitted, our office will contact you to get started!
SATURDAY PACK WALKS!
Join Shayla and Peter for a 1-hour Group Pack Walk through the streets of Providence! Walks are held every other Saturday during the spring and summer months.
Pack Walks are open to anyone who would like to join (if using a prong collar and/or ecollar) and are a great means of support for owners to keep up with their training, increase dog handling skills and get help troubleshooting any issues on the walk. This event is not a “how-to” but rather an opportunity to practice existing training with the additional distraction of other dogs and owners. We will offer you guidance and instruction in a safe, non-judgmental environment to help you and your dog work through any challenges during the walk.
The Group Walk is a structured walk and exercise. We will help you enforce your dog’s proper walking etiquette, specifically no sniffing, marking, lunging, lagging, pulling or biting. In order to participate, your dog must be wearing his or her e-collar and/or prong training collar. Please review the below safety protocols and requirements in preparation for the Group Walk:
1. All dogs must be wearing and have been previously trained on a prong collar and/or e-collar.
2. All owners must bring their own poop bags and water for their dogs.
3. No flexi-style leashes allowed — no exceptions. All dogs should be on leashes 6-feet in length or shorter.
4. All humans should be wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes; no flip-flops allowed.
Adherence to these rules allows us and others the chance to have an educational and safe Group Walk experience.
