Thank you SO much for helping us help Bosco learn to chill out and enjoy his doggie-ness.

Here’s Bosco on his first morning fully off leash at the park. Yay Bosco!
He made great choices all morning. He mostly avoided other dogs and said hello to a few calm, low-energy dogs. But he steered clear of the two areas with large groups of dogs. One dog snapped at him, and he snapped back but then disengaged immediately, walking back to me. He seemed a little nervous sharing the park with so many people and dogs, but he kept his cool and spent must of his time sniffing and eating grass. And he did a great job with recall using the remote collar. In general, really good choices, and I’m so proud of his first day!

Oh, and I visited a friend yesterday with a very “friendly” larger dog (65 lbs of exuberant, jumping hello), and I suddenly realized just how well-trained Bosco has become. We sometimes forget because he has his “issues,” but overall, he’s excellent, calm and totally able to participate in our lives. Hooray! Thanks!
