Lady G ” A training story” Day 1

This is a new category for me..actual case studies of some of my Train and Board Clients. If you are not familiar with this part of my business. I take your dog for 6 weeks and it lives and breaths Jeff Gellman and Solid K9 Training 24/7. These dogs are immersed into my life and my pack which I am the pack leader…I highly suggest this for any dog that has aggression issues. This is also a great program for anyone that is planning on traveling for an extended time and are in need of dog training along with boarding.
I am calling this dog Lady G in order to keep the dogs name private as well as for the privacy and respect for the owners. I met Lady G the first week of January. The owners called me to their house because they were having HUGE aggression issues with Lady G..they could not have anyone over their house unless they put Lady G into one of the bedrooms…Lady G had a bad habit of biting people…so when I came over to the house to get background data…Lady G took a nice chunk of my elbow..so my first thought was “I can’t wait to start working with her” We decided on a pickup day of the 15th of January and today I picked her up..

She was brought to the front door in a cage muzzle and on a leash as soon as she saw me she started her very very aggressive barking and rammed her muzzle right into my leg..WOW…good thing she had a muzzle on…He owner put her in the back of my van and off we went..she spent the 30 minute trip to my dog cottage quiet and looking out the back window…we got home and I got her out of the van and took her to the dog run to go to the bathroom…then brought her into her kennel she settled right in..laid down and kept to herself…she has not eaten or really had anything to drink which is common with dogs entering kennels on the first day…i was able to enter her kennel and put a leash on her and take her out to the dog run a few times during the day….her muzzle has been off since she got to my cottage and I am quite comfortable with her…I am looking forward to our training which starts in the morning…

As of know she is only staying with me for 2 weeks…this is a trial period just to see if I can work with her…I am looking forward to these 2 weeks and I am expecting great things from her…
