On Wednesday I received a call in the morning from a soon to be client whose dog had bitten members of the family including children and was at the end of quarantine at a local vets office. They decided to put the dog down that morning and this particular soon to be client was sitting with some current and past clients who insisted they call me to see if I could be of any help..i said I could and to please call the vet asap and lets wait another 24 hours to see what I could do….so they called the vet and put a hold on the euthanizing of the dog….I went over to the families house that night and after 2 hours of Q & A we all came up with a plan and after the advising the family to ask the vet to make sure there was no medical reason for the aggression I would take the dog to my kennel for the start of a 2 week evaluation and behavioral modification program. So….what I did not realize is that how close the dog was too being put down..it had already been prepped for surgery and was minutes away from not being with us anymore…so…….another day and another dog life saved…all in the life of Jeff Gellman.
So….the above is huge…I will keep everyone up to date as well as get some great pictures..
Below is a few pictures from yesterday that I did not put up last night…
Shayna and Romy hanging out last night…Romy was so tired at this point..she was running around with the dogs all day and this was after dinner.
Romy what are you thinking? Whe was heading back to the deck after playing with Max, Sasha and Pepsi the 3 dogs that are pictured in yesterdays blog…
A busy weekend is in store over the next couple of days….Tucker and Topper as well as Fargo are coming back in for some more training…Cosmo and Georgi are going home…One of my customers is coming up to clean up poop from the yard and cleaning kennels in exchange for me training her dog…
