Head Halters are the work of the Devil

So…..tonight as I was doing a nice 3 mile walk on Blackstone Blvd with 7 dogs in a heel next to me….and as I was texting back someone back that was asking a dog question..(that means I was not holding the leash) since my pack is cabable of walking in a pack off leash. I see a person with a dog up ahead maybe 50 feet or so…she comes to a stop, puts her dog in a sit and then tries to block the dog from seeing us with her body..as we walk by the dog starts going totally nuts…thrashing around out of control…that was not the worst part…the worst part is that it was wearing a head halter…so it was causing much undo stress on the dogs neck and spinal cord…that is not the worst part though is that she was reinforcing the bad behavior…why…because she did nothing to stop it…oh and what ws my pack doing..just heeling as they should..

A couple of new dogs came into the kennel today….Brooklyn…

Another new dog came in today…lots of good energy in the kennel…this is going to be a great week..lots of fun behavioral issues to work on.

This is Charlie…..Charlie likes to have fun…..Charlie is a great dog to have in the Kennel since he is such a great player and greeter…

It’s official…Linda is in the pool…this is an unusual event..she only goes into the pool when the water is warm and it has taken up until this week to go in…the girls really love when Linda goes into the poolll..

The dogs love the pool…they loves swimming with us and the kids love swimming with the dogs..

What is this dog doing….the Place command…how old is this dog? 11 weeks old….I started working with this dog at 9 weeks old and in the last 2 weeks we have mastered the loose leash walk…sit/stay and the place command…waiting for food and housebreaking has gone great…all this dog will know is Solid K9 Training

Gunner and Dudley working on down/stays both have come along way….both are making such incredible progress..the confidence that they have been learning is incredible…

Charlie greeting one of the new dogs that came in today…

I took this photo of Charlie hanging out one of my side window..we just finished a big walk with the pack
