Hot Chicks just arrived
On Tuesday we got our baby chicks in, 6 in total and we will be raising them for the eggs. for the first 5 weeks they will be living inside our house where we can monitor the heat as well as for the safety of them.
Today we started doing distraction work with the dogs and them, it is important that the dogs don’t eat them, so we are training every single dog on the property to NOT KILL the chicks.
A quick video of Joi doing a downstay while the girls take the baby chicks out
Clover and Romy hanging out in the play yard while the dogs have some free time
Romy under the water mister with Jack, who used to jump on everybody, he is great around the kids and the staff now
Chance in the place command in the middle of the yard, while lots of stuff happens all around him
Lelia is starting to fit right in after a few days of training
Gus is with us for 2 days of hardcore remote collar recall training, one of the benefits of being one of my clients, your dog can come to us for as short as 1 day
All moring Jack has been threatening Joi, “if you don’t stop bullying me, I’ll eat your face” well..I guess Joi wont be doing any more bullying
Uma is extremely gentle with the baby chicks, we will work the dogs around them daily
Maggie is a rescue dog from down south that was adopted last week by a country club and I will be training her to chase away all of the geese on the golf course, she will need to be off leash trained. We will also be poisin proffing her since the golf course uses all kinds of chemicals we cannot have her eating anything off the ground ever.
Chance meet your new Daddy, Mikey
