Hot Chicks just arrived

On Tuesday we got our baby chicks in, 6 in total and we will be raising them for the eggs. for the first 5 weeks they will be living inside our house where we can monitor the heat as well as for the safety of them.

Today we started doing distraction work with the dogs and them, it is important that the dogs don’t eat them, so we are training every single dog on the property to NOT KILL the chicks.

Maggie is a rescue dog from down south that was adopted last week by a country club and I will be training her to chase away all of the geese on the golf course, she will need to be off leash trained. We will also be poisin proffing her since the golf course uses all kinds of chemicals we cannot have her eating anything off the ground ever.
