Today I was able to get a collar and leash onto her and we started our day with a little more than a 1 mile walk..i had her in the perfect heel position and I worked with her on her heeling as well as her sitting when I came to a stop….and after our walk I actually groomed her..i brushed her out for about 10 minutes and even cut her front and back nails..this even surprised me…this is a dog who took a chunk out of my elbow the first time I met her and who attacked me less than 24 hours early and has a HUGE history of people aggression…it was wonderful…it brought so much confirmation that my methods of working with aggressive dogs work…I often get challenged by people who feel that without using treats and clickers you cannot work with dogs…I never use food and clickers and I cannot even imagine using them on aggressive dogs…these are the dogs who other professionals in dog training have advised owners to put the dogs down..i wonder if they do this since they do not have the confidence to work with the dogs or they are afraid to work with them…well I cannot wait to start working with dogs that are aggressive…I love showing them Jeffs Way of living….almost immediately the dogs are less stressed…less aggressive and more eager to please…
Lady G was nervous for a lot of the day..I had 2 new dogs come into the cottage today for a 4 day stay and this was a little overwhelming for her…I moved her to an end kennel so she could be closer to the door for the time being….this way getting her out of the kennel would be easier…
